Haunted House
WOW! Halloween Night was soooooo SPOOKY at the Wenk Funeral Home on Payn Ave. in Chatham. Northern Columbia County Rotary and the Senior Class of Chatham High School went "all out" to provide a very scary but entertaining Haunted House. Rotarians Laurie Quinn and Taitia Shelow planned and shopped and, along with their committee, transformed the funeral home into a house of horrors. Laurie and Carl Quinn, Taitia, Scott, Dominic and Gavin Shelow, Maria Smirensky, Maria Lull, Peter Wenk , Lauren Gerken, Wanda McGrath and son, James, Donna Bemiss, Lynn Bell, Walter and Virginia Balfour, Joe Lalka, Sara McWilliams, Gail Blass-Wolczanski and Steve Gilger all helped with set-up or clean-up or both. Chatham High Seniors are superior "scarers" and came up with many great ideas. After expenses, Northern Columbia Rotary Club will share profits with the Senior Class. We hope to make this a yearly event so "be prepared to be scared" next year!
